Generous behavior is known to increase happiness. Research finds that the act of giving your hard earned money away alone is enough to boost your happiness. But we can go further. There are countless ways to contribute to non profit organizations such as the Interstate 5 Blues Association and make a difference. Giving your time and treasures as well as cash are all vital to the organization. We, at the Interstate 5 Blues Association, love CASH, VOLUNTEERS, CARS, VINYL RECORDS (78 rpm, 45 rpm and 33 and 1/3 are preferred) and REAL ESTATE.
  • CASH.

It takes money to operate a non profit organization such as the Interstate 5 Blues Association, even if the organization is staffed by volunteers. Your donation makes a difference.

To help preserve the world of live blues music and help make delivering a more significant social impact on the issues live blue participants care about, please consider developing an annual giving strategy that will carry you through the year. This way, for us, by having donors we can rely on every month, we are able to make better decisions.

If the preservation of blues artists and the promotion of live blues music is part of your value system, and you believe it to be important work, we ask for your support.

  • VOLUNTEERS.

Giving your time and your talents toward a favorite cause can be the perfect way to contribute.

The Interstate 5 Blues Association relies on volunteers to contribute their time and talents to help support the cause just like most non profit organizations.

Volunteers often perform a variety of tasks for charities from stuffing envelopes, or answering the phone. At the highest levels, volunteers serve on the board of directors and are charged with the crucial task of governing the organization. To make the world of blues music as you envision a reality, we ask you to please consider volunteering as often as you can.
  • CARS.

We are car people. Cars played a big part in the migration of the blues.

We will gladly take your 1940’s thru 1970’s automobiles, as well as your later year models.

Each year hundreds of thousands of people donate their vehicles to charities and nonprofits across the United States.

Car donations and other types of vehicle donations for nonprofits have the potential to drive hundreds and sometimes even thousands of dollars for programs supporting education, research, and much, much more!

As dedicated car enthusiasts, we truly understand the emotional journey of letting go of a car. Contact our Finance Director for assistance in donating your vehicle to Interstate 5 Blues Association.

  • VINYL RECORDS (78 rpm, 45 rpm and 33 and 1/3 are preferred)

Making a donation of Vinyl Records, especially blues music from the 1940’s forward can make a great charitable gift today or after your lifetime. They will become incredible aids in our Blues in Schools programs.

  • REAL ESTATE.

Are YOU or someone you know that purchased a parcel of land with the intention of building on it, but never found the time to do so? However, you find yourself paying taxes year after year for something you do not use.

If you have any type of real estate asset that is costing you money or not being utilized, donating it is a great way to give back. Maybe you considered donating it but don’t know how. Perhaps you invested in property, and over the years it accrued a lot of value. In some cases, the capital gains taxes you would need to pay if you sold make it smarter to donate and receive a tax deduction.

Our program takes any property type (land, homes, commercial) in any location so long as there is equity. We make it easy with our partners to donate your real property to Interstate 5 Blues Association. Please call our Director of Finance to assist in donating your real property.

Donating real estate to i-5 Blues Association is a great way to provide support and funding for the community programs you love.

Donating gives you a feeling that a major weight has been lifted.

The proceeds from your property donation allows Interstate 5 Blues Association to make future generations of blues artists a reality.
